Well, I’ve decided to knuckle down and get back on track with “The GlymyreScape Player’s Manuel”!  I kinda hit a bump when I was trying to explain the monetary system; in that I never really made a table for the purchasable items in shops and armory.  To be honest, it was the long lists that had me intimidated.  I can lose my focus when I get in that state of mind.  The ironic part is that I’ve actually done the hardest part of the gaming system.  I’m letting explaining simple aspects of the game get in my way.  In any event, I’ve finished the monetary system and can now finish up the instructions on rolling up a character.  So, my webcomic, Glymyre Tales may have to go without updates for awhile.  Heh, I can hear a lot of my Twitter followers now, “You mean he does a webcomic?  I never…

“WHEN THINGS SEEM TO GO WRONG” by “The Daily Encouraging Word”

“I have done nothing here that they should put me into the dungeon.” Ge 40:15 NKJV Joseph had lived an exemplary life. He had made a fortune for his employer and had resisted the sexual advances of his boss’s wife and stayed true to God. But what was his reward? A prison sentence with no hope of parole. Since when does the high road lead over a cliff? Ever since the entry of evil into the world. And as long as Satan “prowls around like a roaring lion” (1Pe 5:8 NIV), he will wreak havoc among God’s people. He will lock preachers like Paul in prisons. He will exile pastors like John on remote islands. He will afflict the friends of Jesus, like Lazarus, with diseases. But his strategies always backfire. The imprisoned Paul wrote the Epistles. The banished John saw heaven. The cemetery of Lazarus became a stage upon which Christ performed one of His greatest miracles. The prison in which they placed Joseph became his stepping-stone to the palace for which God had destined him. Looking back, he could say, “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive” (Ge 50:20 NKJV). So look for God’s purposes in the reversals of your life, and you’ll begin to see them as stepping-stones to blessing. “The Lord shall not turn back until He has executed and accomplished the thoughts and intents of His mind” (Jer 30:24 AMPC). God will use the circumstances you are in today to strengthen you, draw you closer to Himself, and accomplish His will for your life.

“TURN TO GOD’S WORD!” by “The Daily Encouraging Word”

“My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.” Ps 89:34 NKJV Medical experts say that every one of us will experience depression in some form during our lifetime. A large portion of the population wakes up each day in a cloud of gloom. You may be one of them. A popular children’s book is called Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Alexander falls asleep with gum in his mouth, and finds it in his hair upon waking. His breakfast cereal box lacks a toy in the bottom, and he can’t impress his teacher despite his best efforts. He resolves several times to move to Australia. Unfortunately, geographical cures don’t work. You don’t solve the problem; you just relocate it. So what can you do? Turn to the one source of strength, hope, and encouragement that never fails—God’s living Word. God says, “My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.” If you’re feeling down today, here are some Scriptures you can stand on: “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Ps 10 7:20 NKJV). “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living” (Ps 27:13 NKJV). “In the day of my trouble I will call on You, for You will answer me” (Ps 86:7 NKJV). “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear” (Isa 59:1 NKJV). “I will go in the strength of the Lord God” (Ps 71:16 NKJV).
